William was immediately instrumental in introducing a Residential Development team to the Birmingham market, a market of which Knight Frank now holds an 80% share. Commercially, William helped develop the agency profile personally gaining significant instructions from companies such as Bass and Unipart, and securing key agency colleagues. As Head of Consultancy of Knight Frank Birmingham, and making use of his strong business links within the West Midlands region, William has helped develop the office from its initial staff of 4 to the current level of over 75. He has established a strong consultancy team which provides a wide range and scale of property advice, including Occupier Solutions, Valuation, Landlord and Tenant, Building and Planning Consultancy. In short, William heads a strong problem solving team of consultants responsible for over 50% of the commercial turnover in the office. William’s particular focus is business development built around his ability to acquire and retain the ‘right’ people and thereafter supporting and bringing forward profitable services lines. On a personal level, William also provides direct consultancy advice to a range of public and private sector clients in dealing with property problems / opportunities on behalf of the same clients whether they be occupiers or property owners.
