Richard Walters joined Knight Frank on the Graduate Training Scheme in 1989. Based in London, Richard gained agency, consultancy, valuation, management and L&T experience, before transferring to the Western Regional Office in Hereford where he was involved in all agency matters, together with valuation, professional and investment advice throughout Wales and the South West.

Richard is head of the Consultancy and Valuation team based in Cardiff and works closely with developers, investors and development agencies in funding development and regeneration advice.

The Cardiff consultancy team have advised on the mixed use development opportunities within Newport Docks and Barry Waterfront. Richard is currently providing development and valuation advice to his agency colleagues involved with the marketing of the 100 acre waterfront site in Swansea Bay; SA1 which is designed to comprise a mix of waterside offices leisure and retail.

  • Consultancy advice in relation to RAF St Athan, Cardiff, working closely with the WDA and MOD occupiers to assess MOD occupational requirements, rationalise the site and negotiate land deal terms to provide WDA with land to develop aerospace and technology park.

  • Consultancy advice in relation to RAF St Athan, Cardiff, working closely with the WDA and MOD occupiers to assess MOD occupational requirements, rationalise the site and negotiate Richard was part of the consultancy and valuation team providing funding advice on a mixed use redevelopment of the former Courage Brewery site in central Bristol fronting the River Avon and comprising part listed facades and development restrictions.
