Guy has worked in the City of London and Docklands markets since 1985, fifteen years with Knight Frank. Until 1998, Guy was a member of the Agency Team where he was responsible for major projects including Canary Wharf and East India Dock in Docklands and Garrard House, for Legal & General, Northgate House for MEPC and 2 Gresham Street for Investec Group. In the last four years, Guy has headed the City Investment and Development team. Since the beginning of 2001 to date, the department has been involved with approximately £1.3 billion of transactions ranging in size from £800,000 to £140 million. Guy took over the running off the City office in late 2003.

  • Celexa

  • Part of the leasing team at East India Dock, and appointed in late 2000 to sell the investment. This was achieved quickly, at £125 million, 20% ahead of third party valuation and 14% ahead of quoting terms.

  • MEPC

  • Following site assembly and development advice for Northgate House, a pre-letting to Cazenove was agreed together with a forward sale at approximately £90 million.

  • Private Overseas

  • A sale of a 50% interest at Royal Mint Court, a 470,000 sq ft office complex overlooking the Tower of London for £97 million. This brought to a conclusion an involvement with the original development, letting and forward funding of the scheme.

  • Defence Estates (MoD) - Pan Government Record Storage Project, Hayes

  • Lead consultant in the preparation of bid documentation, strategic property advice and the PFI bid process and evaluation. The specific requirements of the Pan Government record storage facilities as well as the property solutions for a strategic and valuable development site near Heathrow are a key requirement within the project.

  • Home Office - Central London Accommodation Project

  • Lead consultant in the accommodation PFI project. Co-ordinated the bid submission and bid evaluation leading to the award of preferred bidder, further negotiations, legal drafting and financial close of the project.
