The Axys office building in Parc Nantgarw, Treforest. The building extends to circa 45,000 sq ft of grade A offices.
The brief
To let or sell this office building to a single occupier on either a freehold or leasehold basis.
Key objectives and constraints
A number of potential occupier/owners were identified for the building. The challenge was to achieve a balance between obtaining best value and attracting inward investment to the region. Job creation was as important a factor as the tenants covenant strength or the rent.
Actions and outcome
The building was let to the Department of Trade and Industry to facilitate its growth into the regions. This met the WDA’s objectives.
